This appointment is available for those who require a permanent solution to recurrently painful or infected ingrown toenails. Local anaesthetic is administered prior to removing part (the sides) or the whole nail. A chemical called Phenol is applied to the nail producing cells at the base of the nail which will prevent further nail growth.
